The VTTV is versatile as a complete equipment carrier: among other things as a command shelter, troop transporter, anti-riot vehicle or decontamination unit. The VTTV is unique because:
- high payload of up to 5 t, trailer load 10 t (towing capacity up to 16 t)
For use in crisis regions:
- Thanks to its hydraulic suspension, it is also height-adjustable and can thereby gain ground clearance, which is a great advantage against mines and IED blast, as the blast is absorbed underneath the vehicle.
- Thanks to its predetermined breaking point, it is protected in the mine area to STANAG 4569 Level 2a and Level 2b. With a special personnel container, the vehicle can be upgraded with its predetermined breaking point to Level 3a and Level 3b.
